Besides trying to control the pandemic and maintaining social stability, a leaked official document in 2020, from eastern China, it listed a very important task of suppressing Falun Gong and their practitioners. Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a spiritual practice of three principles, truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance.
According to the Falun Dafa Information Center, ( website: www.faluninfo.net ) Falun Gong originated from northeastern China in 1992 and had between 70-100 million practitioners in China by 1999. However, the rising popularity in numbers and independence threatened the Chinese Communistic Party (CCP), so they decided to persecute and ban Falun Gong, starting in July of 1999. Millions of people who practiced it were sent or kidnapped to and put in prison, labor camps, and/or in other facilities.
Specifically, this leaked report was called, “2020 Work Summary and 2021 Work Plan of district PLAC,” sent out in November 2020 by the Wuzhong district Political and Legal Affairs Commission (PLAC), of the Chinese Communistic Party. Wuzhong is a district in Suzhou city of Jiangsu Province and the PLAC communist agency heads the country’s police, courts, and prisons, which is connected to each province, city, and township.
The work summary of the document stated a 100-day campaign to suppress Falun Gong practitioners by using “educational transformation.” Transformation usually means using methods of harassment, brainwashing, and torture to force adherents to denounce their faith. Practitioners in the thousands have been confirmed to being persecuted to death.

Falun Dafa is a spiritual meditation practice based on Buddhist principles of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance. Since July 20th of 1999, Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, has been greatly persecuted and banned in China by the CCP to the present day.
