US, Under Biden Administration, Seeking High Position on United Nations Human Rights Council, To Address Human Rights Genocide

The Biden Administration is seeking one of the three full member seats in this year’s election to have a position, which is currently being occupied by Austria, Denmark, and Italy, on the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC). There are mixed feelings as it is prior to this of June 2018, the Trump administration withdrew from the UN, citing that some of the worst persecutors of human rights, including China, Cuba, and Venezuela, were council members.

However, the Biden Administration is taking a different approach. They want to be represented and Congress has mixed feelings. One of the prominent cases of human rights genocide recorded is by the Chinese government who has been committing human rights crimes, abuses, and violations towards over 1 million Uighur minorities in the Xinjiang area which China denies vehemently with brutal lockdowns and censorship. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken criticized the Trump decision and said this about the withdrawal, “did nothing to encourage meaningful change, but instead created a vacuum of U.S. leadership”.

Senator Marc Rubio, part of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and Congressional Executive Commission On China (CECC), disagreed with Biden saying he “should not give any shred of credibility” to the council because it “has become a place for despotic regimes to come together and receive international cover to commit their horrific abuses. He also suggested that the focus should be “working with democratic allies to press for accountability and justice for these brutal regimes and advance the protection of human rights everywhere.”

The Chinese Communistic Party (CCP) is one of the biggest abusers of human rights and freedoms. Their countless victims of human rights genocide include torture, rape, live organ harvesting, and false imprisonment — their victims include people who speak out or disagree with their Communistic and atheist ideologies, Falun Gong practitioners, Tibetans, Hong Kongers, Christians, and Uighur minorities. They also commit other types of corruption like blackmail and bribes in holding hostage high position officials in different countries to do their bidding while they set debt trap deals to conquer poor or disadvantaged regions. Please support and sign this petition to end the CCP — www.endccp.com — Thank you and God bless.
